Flashcards: 5C’s, Treble G’s, Bass F’s (15 seconds)

Complete first reading book. 

 

Graduation Book 1

Perform the entire book.

Be a member of the One Minute Club.

Complete second reading book.

 

Graduation Minuet 2

Record Minuet 2 with steady tempo, even triplets, Baroque ending. Perform twice.

Renew membership in One Minute Club.

Complete third reading book.

After Minuet 2, maintain these pieces from bk 1:

  • Twinkles
  • *Cuckoo
  • Little Playmates
  • Allegretto I
  • Allegro
  • Musette

 

Graduation Book 2

Renew membership in One Minute Club.

Complete third reading book.

Perform for teacher entire book 2.

Perform the following for an audience of 3 or more, including someone outside your immediate family:

Preparation Steps:

  1. Student & Teacher select location and date.
  2. Recital Hall reservation is made by December.
  3. Deadline for Program list: January 31
  4. Previous book recital in September.
  5. One piece from each of the following historical eras must be included in your program:

Baroque

Required: one Bach, Handel or Scarlatti selection

Classical

Required: One complete Sonata or Sonatina

Romantic/Impressionist

Required: One Romantic or Impressionist
Choice of Romantic/Imp: Debussy, Chopin, Grieg, Mendelsohhn, Granados, MacDowell, Brahms, Liszt

20th-21st Century

Choice:  Bartok, Villa-Lobos, Tcherepnin, Kabalevsky, Joplin, Gershwin

 

Any other selections from Suzuki Repertoire or personal favorites, personal compositions.

One ensemble piece such as accompaniment or duet or concerto.

Feb. - Class & Volunteer Performance

March - Volunteer Performance 

April - Sr. Retirement Center. & Play IN
